GLUTEN FREE TEXAS CHILI

INGREDIENTS

·    2 pounds lean ground beef, browned
·    2  1 pound cans tomatoes
·    27 ounces Bush’s chili beans
·    2 medium onions, chopped coarsely
·    1 green bell pepper, chopped coarsely
·    2 cloves garlic, crushed
·    2-3 jalapenos, seeded and chopped (if desired)
·    2-3 tablespoons chili powder
·    1 ½ tablespoons salt
·    1 teaspoon pepper
·    1 teaspoon cumin



INSTRUCTIONS

1.    Place all ingredients in crockpot.  Stir well.  Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours or high 5-6 hours.

2.    Top with preferred toppings: cheese, sour cream, chives.

*Note*
May also be prepared on stovetop.  Add all ingredients to a large pot and simmer over medium heat for approximately 1-1 ½ hours until vegetables tender.
